$2 million winner enjoys time off Drawing Date: 8/11/2026 September 24, 2026 - A Florence, S.C., man is taking some time off after winning $2 million playing Mega Millions®. “I’m so happy,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “I’m going to do some things I wasn’t able to do before.” A quick pick ticket from the Yana Food Mart on W. Palmetto St. in Florence is financing his staycation. The Mega Millions ticket matched the first five white ball numbers drawn on August 11 (1 - 20 - 30 - 46 - 68 and MB 17) to win him the $2 million prize. The Lottery caught up with the millionaire this week. He says he’s debt free, working on his to-do list and still playing Mega Millions. The odds of winning $2 million are 1 in 12,629,232. For selling the claimed ticket, Yana Food Mart in Florence received a commission of $20,000.
