Mega Millions® Jackpot Won in Minnesota

Winning Ticket Purchased at Holiday Stationstores in Ramsey

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (April 13, 2022) — Minnesota is home to its first Mega Millions® jackpot winner thanks to one lucky ticket purchased for the April 12 drawing that matched all five winning numbers plus the Mega Ball to win the $106 million jackpot, with an $67.3 million cash option. Jackpot amounts are approximate.

The April 12 winning Mega Millions numbers are 2-8-14-20-31 and the Mega Ball is 17.

The jackpot-winning ticket was purchased at Holiday Stationstores, located at 14350 Xkimo St. in Ramsey, Minn. The business earns a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Unless the jackpot winner chooses to opt in to publicity, their name and city will not be released. As of Sept. 1, 2021, the names and cities of lottery prize winners above $10,000 are private data.

Mega Millions jackpot winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim the prize. After the winner comes forward, they have 60 days to choose the annuity option or the cash option. The 30-payment annuity increases by 5 percent each year. The winner(s) will receive the first annuity payment or the cash jackpot (less required withholdings) within two weeks from when they claim the prize.

This is Minnesota’s first Mega Millions jackpot winner since Minnesota joined the game in 2010.
